Miquel Hudin is the publisher of the Vinologue books and a wine writer originally from California. His career in wine started in Napa Valley and after working for a Central European wine importer in San Francisco, he founded the Vinologue series of wine books.
As a contributor to Decanter, World of Fine Wine, Harpers, and other magazines, he focuses on the wines of Spain where he is based in the Catalonia region. But he also splits his time between Southern France, Croatia, and Georgia.
He was chosen as Best Drink writer for 2017 by the prestigious Fortnum & Mason Awards and was the recipient of the 2016 Geoffrey Roberts Award. He holds the Court of Master Sommeliers, Certified Sommelier title and is a Certified Educator of Sherry & Cava.
He is an active wine writer, judge, and when not visiting wine regions around the globe, he enjoys leading wine tours when has the chance.
